Sunny Side Up (Bacon & Eggs Teaset)

I saw this sweet teapot from afar and was drawn closer by it’s comforting, unassuming shape--a  smooth pristinely white oval,  like a perfectly formed, freshly laid egg with a perky spout and a goofy handle.  I realized the teapot’s lid was an egg!  A gorgeous, bright yellow yolk resting demurely on the white of an egg, fried expertly, sunny-side up.  When I thought it couldn’t get any better, I saw that the wavy brown handle was in fact, a strip of bacon.  Perfect.  But I’m not easily satisfied.  Only seconds after I thanked my stars for having found such a precious gem, I wished there were cups that went with it.  I looked all around, but no such luck.  It wasn’t perfect anymore.  It was almost perfect.  Which is actually crap.  I walked around for months, haunted by what could have been.  Until one day,  there they were, like two long-lost family members, two little egg cups, fresh white on the outside, bright yellow on the inside, and that goofy wavy strip of bacon, like Great Grandpa Eugene’s inescapable nose.  A family reunited in perfection!
